Timeshare Vacation Review & Giveaway!

Redweek.com Review & Giveaway!

Hosted by:  Momma Lew's Blog

School is almost out and I am sure many are planning some awesome summer vacations.  If you are like me, you know how expensive a great family vacation can be.  I tend to obsess over travel sites trying to find the best hotel deal.  I recently learned one of the best kept secrets for finding a vacation deal.  You want to know what it is?  Rent a timeshare!  When rented directly from a owner, travelers can typically save up to 50% less than hotel rooms.

I had no idea this was an option!  Did you?  When owners of timeshares are unable to use their timeshare weeks, it becomes a win for both the timeshare owner and the traveler!  So how do you find one of these great deals?  Travelers can go to Redweek.com to find timeshare units to rent or buy directly from owners.  By doing so, you cutting out any tours or middlemen.  Which for me is awesome, as these are the two aspects of timeshares that always deterred me from being interested in one.

When you start traveling with children, I swear hotel rooms become even smaller!  When you rent a timeshare, it becomes your home away from home.  You  have the opportunity to stay in luxurious, open accommodations.  It can be tremendously hard to travel with children and eat all of our meals in a restaurant.  A timeshare rental comes with a fully-equipped  kitchen, saving you money and time.  Something else I just found out??  You still have maid service to keep your quarters neat, tidy and fresh!

Westgate Resort & Spa
The Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa  is just 4 miles from the Orlando Theme Parks and is available from January 1st to November 24th for $450 for 7 nights ($64/night).  A few years ago I had the opportunity to visit Honolulu, Hawaii and although we did not stay here, we visited the beautiful Hilton Grand Vacations Club at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.  If you have ever thought of planning a Hawaiian vacation or been on one, you KNOW how expensive they are!  Check this out!  You can stay many weeks from $139-143 a night.  After doing a quick search on the Hilton's website, to stay there the same weeks would be around $349 for the same accommodations!

The pool at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club

Included in your timeshare price is use of the pool, often with water park attractions, as well as hot tubs, kiddie pools, playgrounds, tennis courts, and arcade games.  Additional amenities could include bocce ball, volleyball, miniature golf, arts & crafts classes, BBQ get-togethers and ice cream socials.  Plus, access to beautiful beaches and theme parks!

On Redweek.com you can browse timeshares based on a resort's name or location.  As well as, timeshares that are all-inclusive, kid-friendly or pet-friendly, near golf, beaches, casinos, theme parks.  You can search not only the United States, but the Caribbean, Central & South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and the South Pacific.

Redweek.com wants to give one lucky reader a 2-yr membership to their site ($29.98 value)!  Open to US residents, 18 and older!  Enter with the rafflecopter below!
a Rafflecopter giveaway I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  2. A time share is a great idea! And saving 50% off of hotels is really good! We have to travel to Montreal this year (for immigration for my husband), and so we're trying to make it a fun trip, too. We might have to look into a time share, as hotel prices were making us think of camping every other night to keep it economical!

  6. Timeshares are clearly not for most people, however, they are constantly offered to anyone who is on vacations. Although there are lots of people who agree going to the presentation just to get the freebies, unfortunately, many of them end up falling for the trap.

    1. Hi Melanie!
While I completely agree with you, I personally have gotten trapped quite a few times into these presentations & it feels like prison...RedWeek.com is completely different. Did you get a chance to check out the site? This is a site for time share owners to post their available weeks for travelers to rent out their timeshare & enjoy a vacation at much lower rates!

  7. Selling fraudulent timeshares is becoming a common practice as is becoming harder to reach the goals timeshare managers have every month.

  8. Timeshares can be a terrific purchase for some families, as they also can be a giant rip off for others. 50 years ago, also known as Holiday Home Sharing or timeshare travel, timeshares were created with the idea of offering fully furnished accommodations for a lower price than a full-time ownership. Nowadays, timeshares have become a very popular vacation option, yet lots of people do not completely understand how timeshares operate.
