Groove Kid Nation Rhythm Bears - Review

My children LOVE to listen to music in the car.  I usually download some of their favorite tunes from TV shows, movies, etc and burn them onto CDs for them.  I recently had the opportunity to review a new children's CD - The Groove Kid Nation Rhythm Bears.  Like many of us, record producer and musician Rodney Lee was inspired after the birth of his son.  After just not hearing what he wanted to be in children's music, Rodney created the Groove Kid Nation to teach our youth the core principles behind music.

Both of my children, as well as myself LOVE listening to our Rhythm Bears CD!  First of all, I love how different the sound is.  It's not just your ordinary, heard-it-a-thousand-times children's songs.  Each song in the Rhythm Bears gets the listener involved.  It asks them to use their mouths, feet, hands, bottles, etc. to be musical instruments.  I love watching my children get involved with the songs, it seems to really get them excited and happy!  The songs get them thinking.  They sing about things that would be a preschooler minds.  We all know how curious they are and they have a question for everything.  My kids LOVE listening to Kalimba or "Pass the Popcorn" as they call it and my favorite track is Virtue of the Small.  The Groove Kids Nation has a very relaxing sound in my opinion.  It's jazzy and trendy, something you'd find playing in your corner coffeehouse.

I strongly suggest taking a look at the website for video clips, song clips, information for educators and how to purchase CDs for yourself!  Oh and 10% of all CD sales go towards helping a charity Groove Kid Nation partnered with - CARE.  Care is a leading humanitarian organization that helps to fight global poverty.

  8. This sounds super cute! I need to get some kid music because they listen to whatever I listen to and I'm sure country is pretty boring.
