Some of my very best memories as a child involve the Strasburg Railroad.  Every year, my family would take a trip to Lancaster, PA and a trip to the railroad was always a given.  Right in the middle of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, your family will love the sites that there are to see as you travel along a Steam Locomotive!

The Strasburg Railroad will once again welcome their most distinguished guest -- Santa Claus himself!  The Santa's Paradise Express begins this coming Friday - November 29th and will run through December 22nd when Santa has to go back to the North Pole to make his final Christmas preparations.

While on your 45 minute train ride, you can expect to make some wonderful family memories while Santa reads you holiday classic stories and carolers sing your favorite Christmas carols!  Santa will give each child under the age of 11 a very special gift!


You can enjoy the Santa's Paradise Express in one of the standard Victorian Style Coaches for $3.00 for children under 3, $11 for Children 3-11 and $17.00 for Adults.  Trains run at 11am, 11:30am, 12pm, 12:30pm, 1pm, 1:30pm, 2, 3, 4 and 5 o'clock.

Just a quarter mile down the road from the Strasburg Railroad is the ChooChoo Barn.  With over 1,700 square feet of train layouts, Traintown USA features over 150 hand-built animated figures and vehicles and 22 operating trains.  For the 3rd year in a row, the ChooChoo Barn's train tracks will be decking the halls for the Christmas season from November 29th through January 5th.  Adults ages 12 and up are $7, while children ages 3 through 11 are $4.00.  Children under the age of 3 are admitted free of charge.
