Gardening!

Back in 2007 I saw an ad on our town's local television channel for a community garden.  A local boy (then 10) thought it would be a good idea to take a run down park and do this project.  We participated in 2007, 2008, 2009.  The park doesn't have the best soil, I wouldn't even rate it good.  We don't have tremendous success due to things like worms and grubs who like to eat our goodies, but it's still fun.  We live in a condo and don't have any space to make a garden ourselves, so this was the perfect thing for us.  It's free too!  We get a 10x10 or so plot of land and lots of local business donate supplies.  Last year in 2010 there was a little bit of confusion and unfortunately we were unable to participate, so I was very excited when my husband let me know the lady who runs it called us and told us to get started!
