Crockpot Rotisserie Chicken

Hi followers!  It's been a long time since I blogged!  I want to start using my blog as an outlet to voice my opinion about everything & anything.  I really hope you will continue to follow me & share my blog with your friends.  I plan on reviewing products, recipes & ideas that I find throughout my travels in real life & online.  I'd like to share my monthly menu planning with you all as well!

I'd like to start by sharing one of my favorite new recipes.  Anyone who knows me, knows that I am in love with my crock pot.  I use it quite often throughout the week.  As a busy mother and wife, it's a huge time saver.  We love the rotisserie chickens you can find at your local grocery store.  But, lately I have been finding that they are getting more & more expensive, for less chicken.   Did you know you could make your own right in your crock pot?

Crockpot Rotisserie Chicken

1 Broiler Chicken about 3-4lbs
2tbsp Paprika
1 1/2tsp onion powder
Salt & pepper

Spray your crockpot with cooking spray. Rinse your chicken with cold water & place it breast side up in the crockpot.  Save the neck & giblets (you'll see why in my next post!).   Make a paste in a small bowl with your seasonings & a little bit of water.  Spread the paste all over the chicken - top, bottom & inside.  Cook on low for 6-7 hours.  Enjoy!

  2. Sounds delish! I love that its a simple recipe with spices most people have in their kitchen (no special run to the store) and since its a slow cooker recipe its minimal mess and clean up! Going to make this Sunday for our family dinner!
